site.btaBolhrad Urban Hromada Council Approves Friendship and Cooperation Agreement with Tundzha Municipality

At their latest session, the members of Bolhrad's Urban Hromada Council adopted a resolution approving an agreement on friendship and cooperation between Tundzha Municipality (Southeastern Bulgaria) and the City of Bolhrad, the hromada's website reported on Thursday.

Prior to the start of the voting procedure, Bolhrad Mayor Sergey Dimitriev pointed out that the agreement was signed on April 22, 2024 in Yambol (the administrative centre of Tundzha Municipality) with that Bulgarian city's Mayor, Stancho Stavrev, during a visit of a Bolhrad Council delegation to Bulgaria.

Under Ukrainian legislation, the agreement has to be approved at a session of the Council in order to have legal value, the Mayor explained.

"This agreement is not just an opportunity to exchange delegations on various holidays, it enables us to participate in an international project with the Bulgarian side in the near future," Dimitriev added.
