A Divine Liturgy was served in Sts Cyril and Methodius Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Cathedral in New York on Tuesday. Consul General Angel Angelov attended the event, the Bulgarian diplomatic mission announced on its Facebook page.

The service was led by His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph, diocesan prelate of the Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Diocese of the USA, Canada, and Australia.

At the end of the service, the Consul General had the opportunity to greet those present and to remind them of the role of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in preserving Bulgarian national identity and spirit, as well as its important role in saving the Bulgarian Jews 80 years ago.
