An exhibition of photographs comparing landmarks in Razgrad and its German twin town Wittenberge was unveiled in Wittenberge on Friday, the Razgrad municipal press service reported. The photographs were taken by the director of the Wittenberge history museum, Marcel Steller, last year during a visit of a German delegation to Razgrad for the local Yoghurt Fair.

The event was attended by the Razgrad Deputy Mayor Habibe Rasim, children from the Hortse dance group and their instructors Rumen Ivanov and Zhulieta Ivanova. The young dancers will take part in the cultural programme of the 30th edition of the Wittenberge Festival.

The exhibition of 15 photographs comparing the similarities and differences between the two twin cities is entitled Photos with Friends. It is exhibited at the Wittenberge Clock Tower.

Steller told the Bulgarian delegation that the local clock tower, 49.40 metres tall, was part of the now-defunct Singer Sewing Machine Company factory, which operated between 1902 and 1993.
