Day 30: Ship's Crew Are in Good Spirits
On the 30th day of its voyage to Antarctica, the crew of the Bulgarian research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril I Metodii (NAVAL RSV 421) are in good spirits, Lieutenant Commander Radko Muevski, Executive Officer, told BTA. Weather conditions in the Atlantic along the coast of South America on January 25 are favorable, contributing to the ship regaining a good average speed of 10 knots. The ship is expected to dock in the Argentine port of Mar del Plata in the first days of February. Scientists from the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute as well as scientists from the Spanish polar programme will board the ship on the way to Livingston Island. BTA Photo/Konstantin Karagyozov
