site.btaFourth Edition of National Conference on Health Tourism to Be Held in Burgas on May 20

The fourth edition of the National Medical/SPA Conference on Health Tourism will be held on May 20 in Burgas, the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism (BUBSPA) said on Monday.

The aim of the event is to discuss the important steps that Bulgaria must take in order to position itself as a year-round competitive European destination for health tourism, with a focus on medical tourism. Leading experts from Europe and Bulgaria in the field of health tourism and medicine have been invited to participate. During the forum, foreign speakers will present good practices from already developed destinations in this sustainable type of tourism.

The Conference is scheduled to be attended by Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh, Health Minister Silvi Kirilov, BUBSPA Chair Siyka Katsarova, as well as Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.

The event is jointly organized by the Tourism Ministry and in partnership with the European SPA Association, Burgas Municipality and the Burgas State University.
