BTA's National Press Club in Razgrad was unveiled on July 26, 2023, when the iconic Yogurt Fair and Festival of Folk Traditions and Arts and Crafts also kicked off in the city.
Addressing the guests and friends of BTA, Kiril Valchev noted that this is the 24th national press club of BTA in a regional city outside the capital. Valchev added that finally Razgrad now also has a place to host press conferences, other events, talks on local issues and discussions that are already held in press clubs across the country, as well as a place for meetings of the regional media from.
Razgrad region has been present in BTA's newscasts since the 1970s. News over the years has been covered by BTA correspondents Petar Penchev, Hristina Avramova, Svetlomir Kirov, Pavlina Petkova and Nevin Mustafova.
The newest Press Club was inaugurated by episcopal vicar Georgi Georgiev. The ribbon cutting was done by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev, Minister of Economy and Industry Bogdan Bogdanov, Regional Governor Dragomir Zlatev, Deputy Mayor Dobrin Dobrev and the Chair of the Municipal Council Stoyan Nenchev. The event was attended by leading public figures.
The head of the BTA National Press Club in Razgrad is Sadet Karova, who has been a regional correspondent of the Agency for 15 years. Mehmed Aziz, BTA's long-time photo reporter, is also on the team.
