The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) opened its national press club in Gabrovo on October 31, 2022 - World Savings Day.
BTA Director General Kiril Valchev, together with Regional Governor Kristina Sidorova and the town Mayor, Tanya Hristova, cut the ribbon in the presence of representatives of state and local authorities, heads of cultural institutions, journalists and friends of BTA.
Gabrovo's joining the family of BTA's national press clubs became possible after a contract was signed on September 13 in Gabrovo between Kiril Valchev and Tania Hristova, under which the municipality grants the BTA the use of a part of a building inseparably linked to an architectural ensemble in the old town. The building is a cultural monument of local importance. It is owned by Restoration EAD of the Ministry of Culture, and the other part is used as a tourist information centre.
The BTA press club is located on 11 Opalchenska Street in the old town centre.
