Speaking to journalists in Kazanlak on Friday, Vazrazhdane Leader Kostadin Kostadinov called on Continue the Change (CC) members Kiril Petkov and Yavor Bojankov to withdraw their candidacies for MP and not to participate in political life in the future. The comment came in connection with Thursday's car road accident near Aksakovo involving a car of the National Service for Protection (NSP), in which CC co-chair Kiril Petkov was travelling.

Kostadinov said Petkov was responsible for the crash. "Few people know that NSP drivers are allowed to break traffic rules only if there is a threat to the guarded person's life, or if he orders them to drive faster. Attempts to blame the NSP or the man who passed away before his time are at worst extremely disingenuous, and at best - they show ignorance of the situation," Kostadinov said.

According to him, the other parties have no interest in a high turnout. "We are the only ones who want a high turnout because our votes are real and are of people who are disillusioned with the status quo. Bulgaria has only two paths before it: Vazrazhdane or ruination.
