BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party for all constituencies for the June 9 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective party/coalition, the candidates themselves and other official sources of information.

A total of 31 parties and coalitions have registered for the June 9, 2024 national elections in Blagoevgrad. The candidates total 290, according to the Constituency Election Commission.

The order follows the sequential numbers on the ballots, as drawn by the Central Election Commission:

  1. There Is Such a People: Toshko Yordanov Hadzhitodorov. Born in 1970. Works as a staff writer. MP in 45th, 46th, 47th and 49th National Assemblies;
  2. Glas Naroden [People's Voice] Party: Mihail Genadiev (aged 26). Bachelor's degree in sports management from National Sports Academy Vassil Levski. Master's degree in business administration - management and entrepreneurship from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski;
  3. Blue Bulgaria Coalition (nine parties: Conservative Alliance of the Right (KOD); Bulgarian Democratic Forum; Democratic Action Movement; National Movement for Stability and Upsurge; Bulgaria of the Citizens Movement; Conservative Bulgaria Party; Radical Democratic Party in Bulgaria; Bulgarian New Democracy Party; Agrarian People's Union): Vladimir Karadzhov. PhD in economic and social geography. Assistant Professor at South-West University Neofit Rilski's Department of Geography, Ecology and Environmental Protection;
  4. We the Citizens Coalition (three parties: Bulgarian Spring; Competence, Responsibility and Truth (KOI); Bulgarian Workers'-Peasants' Party): Katina Anastasova. Born in 1958. Degree in accounting and control from what is today the University of National and World Economy in Sofia. Worked in various Bulgarian state organizations. Founded an accounting company;
  5. No registered list of candidates;
  6. Bulgarian Voice Party: Georgi Popov. Born in 1972. Degree in development and extraction of minerals. Specializes at the Dnipro University of Technology. Master's degree in law from South-West University Neofit Rilski. Politician, lawyer, artist, poet. MP in the 45th and 46th National Assemblies;
  7. Rose Coalition (three parties: Bulgarian Social Democracy - EuroLeft; United Labour Bloc Bulgarian Labourists; Rodolyubie 2000): Aleksandar Garibov. Born in 1970. Master's degree in finance from the Dimitar A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov, master's degree in state administration from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Worked for the State Receivables Collection Agency;
  8. Centre Coalition (two parties: Svoboda [Freedom]; Bulgarian Agrarian Party): Pavel Stoimenov. Farmer, landowner, municipal councillor in the Simitli Municipal Council;
  9. Bulgarian Solidarity Coalition: Albina Aneva-Tomova. Law degree from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, master's degree in business management from St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo. Worked as a junior judge, deputy regional prosecutor. Lawyer and municipal councillor in Blagoevgrad;
  10. Edinenie [Unity] Party: Rumyana Parvanova (aged 46). Degree in computer and information technologies from South-West University Neofit Rilski. Works as a loan consultant in real estate;
  11. Bulgarian National Alliance (BNO) Party: Vladimir Zhivkov. Member of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation;
  12. Vazrazhdane Party: Tsveta Rangelova (aged 47). Degree in law. Lawyer. MP in the 48th and 49th National Assemblies;
  13. Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) Party: Kiril Veselinski. Worked as a journalist, host and producer for sports broadcasts. Worked at the Ministry of Youth and Sports;
  14. Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria Coalition (four parties: Continue the Change; VOLT; Democrats for Strong Bulgaria; Yes, Bulgaria Movement): Andrey Tsekov. Degree from the Faculty of Law at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Studied European Union Law at the University of Amsterdam and Management at Stanford. Former deputy minister of finance, former minister of regional development and public works;
  15. The Truth and Nothing but the Truth People's Party: Tanka Popova;
  16. Bulgarian Rise Party: Daniela Dasheva. Born in 1961. Graduated from today's National Sports Academy Vassil Levski (NSA). Master's degree in sports psychology from the Catholic University of Leuven. Worked as a PE and sports teacher. Deputy Rector for scientific, international and project activities at the NSA. Former minister of youth and sports. MP in the 48th National Assembly;
  17. Civic Bloc Coalition (Radicals Bulgarian Democratic Union, Bulgarian Women's Party): Ivan Geshev. Law degree from the Academy of the Ministry of Interior. Worked for the Ministry of Interior, the prosecution service. Former prosecutor general. Economist by training;
  18. Society for New Bulgaria Party: Dimitar Teshev. Born in 1983. IT degree from the University of Tampa. Master's degree in business administration from the Burgas Free University, master's degree in economy and entrepreneurship from the Varna Free University;
  19. The Left! Coalition (ABV (Alternative for Bulgarian Revival), Movement 21, Green Party, Alexander Stamboliiski Agrarian Party, National Movement for Salvation of the Fatherland, Social Democrats Political Movement): Hristo Kolev (aged 36). Law degree from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Worked as legal consultant for a large Bulgarian company. Businessman;
  20. Party of the Greens: Nikolay Gruev;
  21. Here We Come Party: Lyubomir Stoykov;
  22. GERB-UDF Coalition (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) and Union of Democratic Forces (UDF)): Rosen Zhelyazkov. Born in 1968. Law degree from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Worked as head of the Communications Regulation Commission, head of the State e-Government Agency. Former minister of transport, information technologies and communications. MP in 45th, 46th, 47th, 48th and 49th National Assemblies. Parliamentary chair between 2023 and 2024;
  23. Bulgarian National Union New Democracy Party: Yordan Manasiev. Born in 1974. Molecular biology degree from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, master's degree in genetics. PhD from the Stephan Angeloff Institute of Microbiology with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Works in the field of green energy, ecology and solar panels;
  24. BSP for Bulgaria Coalition (Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP); Ecoglasnost Political Club; Trakia Political Club): Korneliya Ninova. Born in 1969. Law degree from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Former deputy prime minister, former deputy minister of economy, energy and tourism. MP in several National Assemblies;
  25. Velichie [Grandeur] Party: Georgi Kukov. Born in 1963. Pharmacy degree from the Medical University in Sofia. Ran a pharmacy. Established a company trading in medicinal products;
  26. VMRO-Bulgarian National Movement Party: Krasimir Karakachanov. Born in 1965. Master's degree in history from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. PhD in international law and international relations. Former deputy prime minister for national security, former minister of defence. MP in 38th, 40th, 43rd and 44th National Assemblies;
  27. Direct Democracy Party: Kiril Vaklinov. Born in 1974. Law degree from South-West University Neofit Rilski. Municipal councillor;
  28. Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Party: Delyan Peevski (aged 43). Law degree from South-West University Neofit Rilski. Member of the Blagoevgrad and Sofia Bar Associations. Former deputy minister for state policy in disasters and emergencies. MP in eight National Assemblies;
  29. Green Movement Party: Aleksandar Dunchev. Born in 1979. Degree in forestry from the University of Forestry in Sofia, PhD from the same university. Head of the Executive Forest Agency in 2021. MP in 47th and 48th National Assemblies;
  30. Party for Great Bulgaria: Vladimir Milkov;
  31. Bulgarian Union for Direct Democracy (BSDD): Angel Tasev. Specialized in international humanitarian law. Col. Eng. Tasev is a retired officer;
  32. Neutral Bulgaria Coalition (4 parties: Communist Party of Bulgaria; Bulgarian Communist Party; Party of Bulgarian Communists; Russophiles for the Revival of the Fatherland): Pirin Nestorov (aged 75). Chemical engineer and microelectronics engineer.
