BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party for all constituencies for the June 9 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective party/coalition, the candidates themselves and other official sources of information.

In Ruse, 255 candidates nominated by 20 parties and 11 coalitions will run for 7 MP seats in the 50th National Assembly, BTA learned from the Constituency Election Commission head, Milena Hinkova.

The order follows the sequential numbers on the ballots, as drawn by the Central Election Commission:

  1. There Is Such a People: Dragomir Petrov. Born in 1963. Screenwriter and TV show host. MP in the 45th and 49th National Assembly;
  2. Glas Naroden [People's Voice] Party: Mihail Roussinov;
  3. Blue Bulgaria Coalition  (9 parties: Conservative Alliance of the Right (KOD); Bulgarian Democratic Forum; Democratic Action Movement; National Movement for Stability and Upsurge; Bulgaria of the Citizens Movement; Conservative Bulgaria Party; Radical Democratic Party in Bulgaria; Bulgarian New Democracy Party; Agrarian People's Union): Maria Stoyanova. Master’s degree in law from the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse. Lawyer;  
  4. We the Citizens Coalition (3 parties: Bulgarian Spring; Competence, Responsibility and Truth (KOI); Bulgarian Workers'-Peasants' Party): Todor Koynov. Born in 1948. Graduated from the Interior Ministry’s Higher Institute in 1982 and in law from the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse. Has 30 years of work experience in the Interior Ministry’s system and 24 years as a lawyer;
  5. No registered list of candidates;
  6. Bulgarian Voice Party: Miroslav Stoyanov. Born in 1977. Secondary education degree from Ruse’s Vocational High School of Electronics. Works as a customs agent;
  7.  Rose Coalition (3 parties: Bulgarian Social Democracy - EuroLeft; United Labour Bloc Bulgarian Labourists; Rodolyubie 2000): Latchezar Avramov. Born in 1953 in Sofia. Specialist in quantum physics, biophysics, and medical physics. Holder of the Pythagorus Award of the Education and Science Ministry for his scientific achievements in medicine. Has worked in all management bodies of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) and has headed the Electronics Institute with BAS. From EuroLeft’s civil quota;
  8. Centre Coalition (2 parties: Svoboda [Freedom]; Bulgarian Agrarian Party): Valentin Donkov. Born in 1965. Lawyer in the Ruse Bar. Graduated from the Interior Ministry’s Higher Institute in 1991;
  9. Bulgarian Solidarity Coalition: Nikola Vaptsarov;
  10. Edinenie [Unity] Party:  Ivan Manev. Born in 1974. An economist by training. MP in the 47th National Assembly on Continue the Change’s ticket;
  11. Bulgarian National Alliance (BNO) Party: Konstantin Velev. Born in 1962. Hold degrees in thermal and nuclear power plants from the Kyiv Politechnic Institute and in management from Varna’s University of Economics, with a specialization in energy efficiency. Has headed the heating utilities of Ruse and Sofia. Energy auditor in three companies and owner of a private business related to photovoltaic systems;
  12. Vazrazhdane Party: Zlatan Zlatanov. Born in 1979.  Lawyer and head of the Bar in Ruse. MP in the 48th and 49th National Assembly;
  13. Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) Party: Svetlin Stoyanov. Master’s degree in economics from Sofia’s University of National and World Economy. MP in the 45th, 46th, and 47th National Assembly. Has worked as an accountant, credit inspector, currency dealer in commercial banks, administrative director of a company, and officer at the National Service for Protection;
  14. Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria Coalition (4 parties: Continue the Change; VOLT; Democrats for Strong Bulgaria; Yes, Bulgaria Movement): Martin Dimitrov. Born in 1977. An economist and doctor of finance. MP in the 49th National Assembly from Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria. Has been a member of seven previous parliaments;
  15. The Truth and Nothing but the Truth People's Party: Ventsislav Angelov. Born in 1969. Secondary education degree from Pazardzhik’s F. E. Dzerzhinsky Police Training School. Has worked at the traffic police in Ruse. Has had a private business. Founder of a football school. “I have been sentenced four times for various crimes,” he told BTA;
  16. Bulgarian Rise Party: Daniela Vezieva. Master's degree in Finance and Credit from the Dimitar A. Tsenov Academy of Economics. PhD in Economics from Vasil Levski National Military University in Veliko Tarnovo. Represented Bulgaria in the Budgetary Committee of the European Schools, 2007 - 2014. Deputy Minister of Economy, November 2014 - February 2017. Caretaker Minister of Economy, 2021;
  17. Civic Bloc Coalition (Radicals Bulgarian Democratic Union, Bulgarian Women's Party): Ani Ivanova. Economist by education. Works as an accountant;
  18. Society for New Bulgaria Party: Lyubomir Hristov;
  19. The Left! Coalition (ABV (Alternative for Bulgarian Revival), Movement 21, Green Party, Alexander Stamboliiski Agrarian Party, National Movement for Salvation of the Fatherland, Social Democrats Political Movement): Valeri Ivanov. Born in 1955. Higher education degree in machine engineering. Majority owner of Dunavski Dragajen Flot AD – Ruse, regional head of the ABV party, and municipal councilor for three terms in office;
  20. Party of the Greens: Lyudmila Velinova. Born in Pernik. Higher education degree in finance from New Bulgarian University. Long-standing work experience in banking and politics. Top-of-the-list candidate in Pernik as well;
  21. Here We Come Party: Zornitsa Dikova-Paneva. Graduated in automation of manufacturing at the University of Ruse in 2001. Fluent in French, Italian, Spanish, and English. Co-founded Here We Come in 2008.  Works in the field of construction at a construction supervision company;
  22. GERB-UDF Coalition (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) and Union of Democratic Forces (UDF)): Bedros Pehlivanyan. Born in 1963. Master’s degree in pharmaceutics from Sofia’s Higher Medical Institute. Has been managing a pharmacy chain in Ruse for 25 years. GERB member since 2007. Municipal councilor of GERB in Ruse;  
  23. Bulgarian National Union New Democracy Party: Martin Nikolov. Born in 1986. Secondary vocational technical education. Fluent in Russian and English;
  24. BSP for Bulgaria Coalition (Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP); Ecoglasnost Political Club; Trakia Political Club): Ivan Ivanov. Doctor of history and doctor of science in information process management. Has experience as a legal adviser and lawyer as well as municipal councilor. Former ministry of agriculture in Kiril Petkov’s government. MP in the 49th National Assembly. Member of seven previous parliaments;
  25. Velichie [Grandeur] Party: Ivan Petrov. Master’s degree from the University of Ruse and Bachelor’s degree from Sofia’s Todor Kableshkov Higher School of Transport. Transport engineer by profession, works in field of contract logistics;
  26. VMRO-Bulgarian National Movement Party:  Ivo Pazardzhiev. Born in 1986. Master’s degree in Law from the University of Ruse. Lawyer and municipal councilor. Has chaired the Ruse Municipal Council. Member of the VMRO National Executive Committee;
  27. Direct Democracy Party: Georgi Todorov. Born in 1970. Graduate of the Medical Univesity in Varna. Doctor with additional specializations and professional qualifications. Head of a medical and diagnostics lab in Ruse for 21 years. Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association’s Control Commission;
  28. Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Party: Alizan Yahova. Master’s degree in finance and public administration. Economist. Has worked at State Fund Agriculture, including as deputy executive director and executive director. MP in the 49th National Assembly and two previous parliaments.  
  29. Green Movement Party: Mihail Mihov. Born in 1981. Has studied international tourism at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia. Personal development in the field of sustainable tourism as an expert, mountain guide, and tour guide for all regions of Bulgaria with German and English languages. Member of various national and regional tourist associations and long-standing activitist for the protection of Bulgaria’s nature;
  30. Party for Great Bulgaria: Tatyana Lisichkova. Master’s degree in law from the University of National and World Economy in 1998. Lawyer at the Sofia Bar since 2002. Works in criminal refugee and civil law. Member of the Civil Council with the Supreme Judicial Council since 2016;
  31. Bulgarian Union for Direct Democracy (BSDD): Vesselin Vassilev. Born in 1962. Chemist and technologist. Has his own business. Works in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and essential oils production. Holder of two patents;
  32. Neutral Bulgaria Coalition (4 parties: Communist Party of Bulgaria; Bulgarian Communist Party; Party of Bulgarian Communists; Russophiles for the Revival of the Fatherland): Ivo Ivanov. Born in 1974. Secondary vocational education from the Dyanko Stefanov Vocational School of Transport in Ruse. Works in transport and logistics.
