Bulgarian athletes won two bronze medals on the second day of the FIG World Challenge Cup finals in Varna on Sunday. Eddie Penev placed third in the vault, while Nikol Stoimenova took bronze on the balance beam.

Thus, Bulgaria finishes the tournament with a total of five medals (one gold, two silver, and two bronze), after Eddie Penev became the floor exercise champion on Saturday, his brother Kevin Penev finished second, and European vice-champion Valentina Georgieva claimed silver in the vault.

This marks the most successful World Cup for Bulgarian gymnastics – ten finals and five medals for the national athletes, just two weeks ahead of the European Championships, set to take place in Leipzig, Germany, from May 26 to 31.
