site.bta Sofia's Cathedral of St Joseph Holds Funeral Mass for Pope Francis
Funeral Mass for Pope Francis was held at the Cathedral of St Joseph in Sofia on Monday. The service was led by the Apostolic Nuncio to Bulgaria, Monsignor Luciano Suriani, and five bishops of the Catholic Church in Bulgaria.
The service was attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions of Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Venezuela in our country, as well as many believers who came to honour the memory of Pope Francis.
In his speech Suriani said that over the past 12 years, Pope Francis had dedicated his life to serving the Gospel, the Church, and the family, especially those youngest and neediest.
