The National Assembly is expected on Wednesday, April 30, to hold second-reading debates to amend the Energy from Renewable Sources Act, according to the legislature's tentative weekly programme.
The bill was adopted at first reading at the beginning of April. The MPs postponed the vote on the texts but held second-reading discussions. At that time, Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov underscored that there is no open door for the construction of wind farms in the Black Sea offshore zones.
The MPs are also expected to review second-reading amendments to the Act on Protection of Persons Submitting Alerts or Publicly Disclosing Information about Violations (Whistleblower Protection Act).
