Continue the Change co-leader Kiril Petkov will be paying a three-day visit to the US, the party’s press service said on Thursday. He will take part in a discussion on the future of the Western Balkans and strategies to counter Russia's malign influence in the region.

During his visit, Petkov is scheduled to confer with Mike Pompeo, who served as the 70th US Secretary of State. He will also participate in the discussion.

In a video address posted on social media, Kiril Petkov did not offer a prediction on the outcome of the US elections but pointed out the contrast in voter turnout, with the US expected to reach 66%, compared to 33% in the most recent parliamentary elections in Bulgaria.
