site.btaPoor Hiking Conditions on Monday

The conditions for tourism in the mountains will be poor on Monday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross told BTA.

The weather is cloudy, foggy, visibility is poor, temperatures are negative and snowfall will continue in many places. In most mountains at an altitude of over 2,000 m, there is a snow cover.

The MRS suggested that people download their mobile app, as it would facilitate any possible rescue efforts if needed, as well provide mountain insurance.
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology reported that the weather in the mountains will be cloudy with snowfall and  moderate to strong east-southeasterly wind . Highs: 0C at 1,200m, -4C at 2,000 m.
