The Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross said that the mountain weather conditions in the Bulgarian mountains on Monday are suitable for hiking  but the tourists have to bear in mind that the temperatures are more typical of winter rather than summer. 

Temperatures in the mountainous regions range between 1C and 10C, and it is cloudy with passing fog in many places.

There have been no incidents with tourists in the past 24 hours, the MRS added.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology forecasts considerable clouds and in some places - rainfall. Light snow expected above 2,000 metres. Moderate westerly-southwesterly wind. Highs: around 12C at 1,200 metres and around 4C at 2,000 metres above sea level.
