Over 1,000 young entrants from 19 countries will compete in the Topalov Open Judo Tournament in the historical Bulgarian town of Panagyurishte between June 15 and 16.

Talents aged between 6 and 18 years from Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czechia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Israel, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkiye, and Bulgaria have confirmed their participation in the eighth installment of the tournament.

Israel is sending the largest delegation, comprising five teams with more than 100 members to them in total. Other sizeable delegations are expected from Turkiye and Serbia (70 wrestlers each) as well as Italy (25).

Most of Bulgaria's judo clubs will be represented in the competition, organized by the Topalov Judo Club of Sofia. The bouts will be held on six mats.

Georgi Georgiev, who earned an Olympic bronze medal from Athens 2004, will be a special guest. The matches will be streamed live. As usual, the tournament will be followed by a camp.

The podium finishers will receive special awards from Suples Training Systems, Born Winner, Door Mats, and Starosel, among other sponsors.
