An Arena of Women's Business entrepreneurship forum will be held at Inter Expo Center in Sofia on June 7, said Gena Sabeva, Co-Chair of the Entrepreneurship and Startup Council with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and member of the Supervisory Board of the Women's Business Community (WBC). She was speaking at a news briefing about the forum's 5th edition here on Tuesday.
According to her, this year's event for the first time will present the best practices of participants from previous editions. Over the past five years, more than 250 women have gone through the WBC mentorship programme, and eight of them will be featured to show how their businesses have developed.
For the first time, the Atlas Awards will be presented on behalf of BCCI's Entrepreneurship and Startup Council in three categories: Development of the Business Environment in Bulgaria, The Link between Business and Education, and Women's Entrepreneurship. The official award ceremony will take place on June 9 at Grand Hotel Sofia.
During the forum, the ideas of the participants will be evaluated mainly according to their applicability in real business, explained Sabeva, who will be on the jury. "The idea is to support those who will actually develop their idea in a business direction," she added.
Ilona Staneva, Marketing and Advertising Director at Fibank and also a member of the WBC Supervisory Board, announced that this year there are twice as many participants in the mentoring programme with ideas for sustainable business.
