The 3rd National Meeting of Fruit and Vegetable Producers is taking place in Plovdiv on Thursday, February 27, the organizers from the National Branch Chamber of Fruit and Vegetables (NBCFV) said. The programme of the event features three panels of lectures and discussions.

The main highlight will be a presentation of the NBCFV's national programme for the sector's development until 2035. The participants in the meeting will discuss current challenges facing the fruit and vegetable business and possible solutions.

Ministers Georgi Tahov of Agriculture and Food, Borislav Gutsanov of Labour and Social Policy, Ivan Ivanov of Regional Development and Public Works and Manol Genov of Environment and Water, Deputy Innovation and Growth Minister Martin Danovski and many representatives of the fruit and vegetable sector have been invited to the meeting.

The experience and knowledge of the people active in the fruit and vegetable business are indispensable for planning effective strategies and policies for the sector's development, the NBCFV said. "Our mission is to turn Bulgaria into the green garden of Europe by creating sustainable conditions for the sector's development and growth," it said.
