site.btaBGN 1 Bln to Be Directed for Municipal Investments in December, Agriculture Minister Tahov Says

Addressing the opening event of the annual meeting of local authorities, organized by the National Association of the Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMRB) on Sunday, carateker Agriculture and Food Minister Georgi Tahov said that BGN 1 billion under the Strategic Plan for Agriculture and Rural Development 2023-2027 will be distributed between municipalities in Bulgaria in December 2024.

Alongside Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova, Regional Development and Public Works Minister Violeta Koritarova and Innovation and Growth Minister Rosen Karadimov, Tahov took part in a discussion panel where investments for local development were discussed.

According to Tahov, the Agriculture Ministry prioritizes projects for the construction of infrastructure in rural areas because it is important to improve the quality of life in small settlements and stimulate their economic, social and cultural development. The funds will enable the country's smaller municipalities to improve their economic viability through development of road infrastructure, water supply, and energy efficiency projects, and by providing support for the villages’ cultural and natural heritage.
