site.btaBulgaria’s National Revenue Agency to Join OECD Forum on Tax Administration

The Council of Ministers approved the accession of the National Revenue Agency to the Forum on Tax Administration (FTA) of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The Forum was established in 2002 and brings together representatives of the tax administrations of 53 countries. Its objective is to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of tax administration. It provides an opportunity to share knowledge, conduct research and develop new ideas and projects to improve the performance of administrations around the world.

The accession of the National Revenue Agency to the FTA is an opportunity to share expertise, knowledge, and experience from the best tax practices around the world and is a recognition of Bulgaria's multi-year efforts to be a reliable partner in international measures against tax evasion and avoidance. Participation in the FTA is also important in the context of this country's efforts to become a full member of the OECD.
