site.btaMaria Masleva to Present Abstract Painting Exhibition in Sofia

An exhibition by Maria Masleva will be on display at Sofia’s Contrast Gallery from June 17 to July 5, the organizers said.
The exhibition shows a cohesive visual concept that presents abstract painting not just as a form of expression but as a way to open up new perceptual horizons. In Masleva’s work, reality is not an external world to be depicted. It is an internal dynamic to be visualized. Each canvas captures tensions – between action and stillness, light and dark, chaos and rhythm, the organizers added.
Born in Sofia, Masleva is a graduate of the Ilia Petrov Art High School and the National Academy of Art (formerly the Nikolai Pavlovich Higher Institute of Fine Arts), where she earned a degree in Poster and Visual Communication. Artwork by Masleva, who is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists, is part of private collections in Bulgaria, Romania, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, etc.
