site.btaBulgarian National Radio and China Media Group Sign Cooperation Agreement

The Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) and the China Media Group have signed a cooperation agreement, the BNR said on Wednesday.

The agreement was signed at an official ceremony in Beijing by BNR Director General Milen Mitev and the Director of the Center for Europe and Latin America of the China Media Group Xia Yongmin.

The two media outlets will partner in the exchange of news, music and digital media content, radio programmes and information in the fields of culture and tourism, as well as in the joint implementation of media projects, the BNR said.

During his visit, Mitev held official meetings with representatives of the management of the China Media Group and working meetings with the Bulgarian editorial office of the media outlet.

The China Media Group is one of the largest media conglomerates in the world. It was formed in a 2018 merger of the China Global Television Network (CGTN), China National Radio (CNR) and China Radio International (CRI). The group broadcasts program content on 47 television channels and 17 radio stations, available in 44 languages, including Bulgarian, and has a strong digital presence through various national platforms and mobile applications.
