British violinist Nigel Kennedy will perform in Sofia’s National Palace of Culture on February 13 and Varna’s Palace of Culture and Sports on February 15, Sofia Music Enterprises (SME) said.

He will present his latest piece, Violin Concerto no. 1 "Für Ludwig Van". "Inspired by Beethoven yet entirely original, this four-movement concerto brings the spirit of the great composer into the modern day, while retaining his optimism and spiritual message. Kennedy's music is an organic blend of diverse cultural influences with a deep sense of humanity and lyricism," SME said.

A special highlight of the concerts will be the performance by Georgi Andreev, who plays the gadulka (a stringed instrument similar to the rebec), and the Vratsa Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Christo Pavlov.
