The fifth edition Sofia Summer Fest will start on July 18 with a concert by Vasil Naydenov, the festival organizers announce. Over 30 days the programme features theatre, stand-up comedy, cinema and a children's programme.
Theatre productions include "Hello, Hello" - July 19, "On All Sides" - July 20, "Don't Say That" with Teodora Duhovnikova and Zahari Baharov - July 27, "Unfiend" - July 30, "My Wife's Name is Boris" - July 23, "My Father's Name is Maria" - July 22, "A Game for Two" with Alexander Kadiev and Sofia Bobcheva - August 1, "Do You Swear by the Children?" with Vesela Babinova and Vladimir Zombori - August 15, "Poor France" - August 12, "Friday Night" - August 6, "Every First Wednesday" - August 8, "The Neighbours Upstairs" - August 2, "A Wedding with a Delay" - August 13.
Music lovers can watch Kerana and the Cosmonauts on July 28, a concert of Bon Bon - on July 29, "Bai Rock" with Philip Avramov - July 21, "Musical Avatars" with Daniel Peev, Stanimir Gumov and Nevena Bozukova - August 3, "The Golden Years of Jazz" with Marina Gospodinova - August 11.
For stand-up lovers there are the shows "The Golden Boys" with Kapitana, Kyuchukov and Donski - July 26, and "Sofia vs. Province" by Inside Joke Stand Up - August 17.
Children and their parents can watch puppet and children's plays every Saturday and Sunday at 10 am and 11 am. These are "Little Red Riding Hood", "Jan Bibiyan and Fyut the Little Devil", "The Little Tooth", "A Tale of Important Things", "The Musical", "Funny", "Grandpa's Mitten", "The King's New Clothes", "Plums for Garbage" and "Grandpa Pulls Turnips"., the first edition of the Festival of Contemporary Bulgarian Children's and Youth Cinema will be held every Saturday and Sunday at 4 pm.
