More than 60 artists and performers from Bulgaria, France and Poland take part in the sixth edition of Culturama Festival, mottoed “Water live- the music of water”, the organizers said here on Thursday.

The programme includes five large-scale exhibitions of artists completely different in their style and visual identity, united by the water theme. Among the exhibitors are Mihail Zaimov, Nikolay Sardamov and Marta Djourina from Bulgaria, Vincent Ruffin and Axel Morel from France.

The festival-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy open-air concerts, music and dance performances of different genres, including classical, jazz, samba, hip-hop, glass music, the festival team said. 

The concert programme features Vassilena Serafimova, Amine Boussa and Jeanne Azoulay from Chriki'Z company, together with the Bulgarian Breaking Federation (choreographic performance), Ina Kancheva (soprano), Vratsa Symphony Orchestra with conductor Hristo Pavlov, French artists Vincent Peirani (accordion) and Francois Salk (cello), Polish Glass Duo (music on glasses), Liya Petrova (violin), French duo Aurelie and Verioca (guitar and cavaquinho).

The seventh art is presented with screenings of the films Salt of the Earth by Wim Wenders and world-renowned Brazilian photographer Sebastiao Salgado, and Dambusters - The start of the riverlution by Francisco Campos-Lopez Benyunes.

A special digital game titled Discover Sofia's Fountains was created to show the need for water protection.
