BTA provides a vast information support for the popularization of the Antarctic project and the actions of the first Bulgarian naval research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (RSV 421), Naval Academy Rector Fleet Admiral Boyan Mednikarov said in Varna, on the Black Sea, on Thursday, while addressing the participants of the presentation of the new issue of the LIK magazine "Bulgarian Science in Antarctica".

Mednikarov thanked BTA on behalf of his colleagues from the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, and on behalf of the ship's crew, and expressed satisfaction for BTA's accurate coverage of their work. It is a fact that during the 31st expedition, in its entirety, as well as during the most important part of the 32nd expedition, BTA correspondents continuously worked on board, Mednikarov pointed out, adding that this contributed to the voyages receiving solid public support.

"After the first expedition, we got to see a unique publication of BTA - the exclusive issue of the LIK magazine, dedicated to the historic voyage of the 31st Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition," Mednikarov noted. He expressed his satisfaction that in 2024 once again a new issue of the magazine was dedicated to the Antarctic project. Mednikarov also said that both the staff of the Naval Academy and the crew of the ship will continue to contribute to the popularization of the Bulgarian Antarctic and scientific cause, to which BTA is also committed.
