River of Memories is the title of the exhibition that Galabin Hristov is presenting at ASTRY Gallery between February 27 and March 15. The exhibition is based on the theme of the passing of time - of the cycle, of the artist's childhood, which has passed, but also remains forever, the organizers said.

"For over 20 years Galabin Hristov has been present in the life of the gallery in his own subtle but firm way. His panels on wood, with heavy layering and assemblages of metal and figuration reduced to a mere sign, have evolved into painterly canvases, again with embedded elements of metal, and these in turn have gently (to the outside observer) merged into ethereal, virtuosic, 'chiming' watercolours on paper. His cavalet sculptures grew into monumental sculptures - a little bit in many places in Bulgaria," the team says.

Galabin Hristov was born in Lom in 1978. Since 1999 he has exhibited and made solo exhibitions in the City Gallery of Tarnovo, in Burgas, Varna and Sofia - ASTRY Gallery, 2006, 2021, 2022. He has dozens of contributions to prestigious general national and international exhibitions, plein air exhibitions, sculpture symposiums, competitions and projects.
