This is not just a disaster for Plovdiv's architecture and history, but a desire to inflict a blow against the caretaker Government, Culture Minister Velislav Minekov commented on Thursday here the demolition of one of Plovdiv's tobacco warehouses, which started earlier in the day. Minekov described the building as being part of Bulgarian national history, which is why its demolition must not be allowed.
