On May 19, the Startup Hub of the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) will officially open. It is the first university centre of its kind in support of student entrepreneurship, said the press center of the university.
The event will be held under the auspices of the Rector of UNWE, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, guests will include the rector's leadership, professors and employees of the university and representatives of successful startup companies and associations.
The University Startup Hub aims to develop young people’s entrepreneurial and innovative skills, to inform them about the opportunities for financing startups, to teach them how to make business plans and present their ideas to investors.
The centre will also provide mentoring activities by leading experts, entrepreneurs, lecturers in the field, as well as representatives of investment funds.
The hub will also house a shared library, where students will be able to find literature from local and foreign specialists working in the startup ecosystem.
