Cabinet Approves Honorary Kazakhstan Consulate in Montana

The Council of Ministers approved the establishment of a consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Bulgaria, to be headed by an honorary consul, the government press service said Wednesday.

The consulate will be based in Montana, Northwestern Bulgaria. Its consular district will include the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, and Sofia.

Cabinet also approved Bulgarian national Ivaylo Mitev as honorary consular official of Kazakhstan in Bulgaria.

Mitev is an entrepreneur active in the real estate sector, food industry, energy, electricity production and trade, and construction. He serves on the Management Board of the National Association of Construction Entrepreneurs.

As honorary consular official, he is expected to support and expand the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan.
