On April 26, Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Iotova will visit the French town of Grasse at the invitation of Mayor Jerome Viaud and the local cultural association Centre d'Art des Collines de Grasse, the press secretariat of the head of State said on Friday. The visit marks the 145th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and France. Iotova will attend a special concert featuring Bulgarian opera singers and will hold a meeting with the Mayor of Grasse, who has long been twinned with the Bulgarian town of Kazanlak.
Gilles Fuchs, head of Centre d'Art des Collines de Grasse, is a renowned patron of the arts, holder of numerous international awards, and an active promoter of Bulgarian culture worldwide. Fuchs has made significant contributions to the development of the Varna International Ballet Competition, which, with its long history, has set global standards, according to the press release.
