A discussion on The Hague 2025: NATO's horizon and Bulgaria's vision will take place at Sofia's Central Military Club Friday. The event is held on the occasion of the press launch of "Living Archives: A National Archive of Memories about Bulgaria's Accession to NATO," said the Diplomatic Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The "Living Archives" publication is part of the National Programme of Initiatives marking the 20th anniversary in 2024 of Bulgaria's accession to NATO. It features personal recollections from key figures who made significant contributions and played an active role in the country's path to joining the Alliance.

The event will offer a historical perspective on Bulgaria's integration in NATO and will provide a platform to discuss the Alliance's future in light of the rapidly evolving security environment and the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague in June.

The opening will feature remarks by Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov and Deputy Foreign Minister Elena Shekerletova. The discussion, moderated by journalist Georgi Milkov, will include Solomon Passy, President of the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria; former foreign minister Nadezhda Neynsky (1997-2001); Sofia Security Forum President Yordan Bozhilov; and Assoc. Prof. Velizar Shalamanov, chair of the NATO Communications and Information Agency Supervisory Board (2019-2021).
