The policy of the government threatens the national security of the Republic, leader of the Vazrazhdane party Kostadin Kostadinov told the media Monday in Varna. He announced that his party wants the resignation of the government because of its complete failure in the field of foreign policy.

Kostadinov said that the party has decided to propose a vote of no confidence in the government because the latest developments in Bulgaria's foreign policy, adding that there are two main problems.

The first is related to Bulgaria's shameful reaction to the death of the Bulgarian captain Marin Marinov in Gaza, who was killed by the Israeli army, Kostadinov said.

According to him, the whole world saw it, only the Bulgarian incumbents did not. He believes that Bulgarian Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev has disgraced Bulgaria by saying that if the government demands an investigation into the case and blames the State of Israel for it, that would put at risk Bulgaria’s reputation.

"The second thing for which we want the resignation of this government is the absolutely non-critical inclusion in the so-called coalition of the willing of Keir Starmer, the prime minister of a non-European country," the party leader added. He pointed out that Britain has chosen to leave the European Union, for this reason it is absolutely illogical to follow any initiative of such a country.

Kostadinov said that signatures for the no-confidence vote have been collected since this morning at the party's office in the National Assembly.

"All parties that are different from the ruling majority and claim to be the opposition are welcome to sign," he summed up.
