The Interior Ministry and the State Agency for National Security have submitted reports addressed to the President, the National Assembly and the Council of Ministers, in which they have given a full account of all activities during the October 27 snap general elections, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev told journalists on Friday.

Glavchev pointed out that based on the data the three institutions will be able to take their own decisions. He had also familiarized himself with the reports, it became known from his words.

The caretaker Prime Minister drew attention to the assessment of international observers of the elections, in particular the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, that the elections were "competitive and professionally managed by the election administration". "They give a good assessment of the organization of the elections," he said.

Asked about the position of President Rumen Radev, according to whom "the announcement of the official results of the elections causes tension and raises questions about the fairness of the vote", Glavchev replied: "I am not in the habit of commenting on the president's statements. We have offered him a report on the basis of which he can make his decisions. He is among those who can refer to the Constitutional Court. If he sees irregularities, he can do so."

Glavchev also pointed out that he was aware of the allegations of electoral violations and recalled that the composition of the polling station committees included people from all parties, but no representatives of the executive.

"This is the most guarded election to date. There have been the most pre-trial proceedings, the most responding to reports, the most warning reports signed and issued. And for the machines - in the most recent election there were 3,300 machines checked. This is 33 times more than all the elections before the caretaker government," Glavchev said.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister participated in a ceremony to hoist the national flag in front of the presidency on the occasion of the National Awakeners' Day.
