GERB reiterated Tuesday that it won't back further efforts to form a government after their own failed, and said it sees talks initiated by the holder of the third government mandate, There Is Such a People, as "good groundwork for the next Parliament". Speaking to the press on her way into a parliamentary committee meeting, GERB-UDF deputy floor leader Denitsa Sacheva said, "We have repeatedly said that we would back no other mandate that the first."

The first mandate went to GERB-UDF in their position as the largest party in Parliament but it failed to secure support for its proposal for a Cabinet. The second mandate was offered to Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria but they returned it after a draft parliamentary declaration on counter-corruption legislation was refused backing by the other parties in the legislature.

Referring to a new round of talks with the parliamentary parties that TISP expect to hold, Sacheva said, "It is good to have dialogue and hold meetings. They will be a good groundwork for the next Parliament - not in this one."

TISP have so far talked to one MP, former Velichie deputy Krassimira Katincharova. They also expected to meet with expellees of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms group but the meeting was called off for Wednesday.

MRF floor leader Delyan Peevski, a proponent of holding snap elections the soonest possible, has already said he would not be meeting with TISP.
