Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said on Thursday that he is ready to continue the dialogue with President Rumen Radev on the changes in the composition of the caretaker government proposed by Glavchev. He added that if someone obstructs the proposed replacements (notably of the ministers of Foreign Affairs and of Agriculture), they should assume the responsibility for doing so.
"The responsibility for the ministers I propose is entirely mine. If there are other views on the issue, the one who thwarts the ministers I proposed will take responsibility," Glavchev told Bulgarian journalists in Brussels, where he is attending the two-day European Council meeting.
"As you can see, everyone is trying to dodge responsibility. I took it by assuming this post. If the proposals I make do not happen, then someone else takes responsibility," Glavchev added.
Asked about President Rumen Radev's insistence that there should be no deputy party leaders in the proposed lineup, Glavchev said he would not comment on statements other than his. "I have proposals, I await the President's decision," he summed up.
