Two new deputy ministers have been appointed at the Agriculture Ministry and the Social Ministry, the government press service said on Friday.

Tanya Georgieva (Dabnishka) takes over as Deputy Agriculture Minister. Until now, she was Association of Farmers in Bulgaria (AFPB) Executive Director. In the period 2018 – 2022, she was a key expert in the management unit of the Rural Network at the Bulgarian Rural Development Programme 2014-2020. In 2021, she was nominated as Bulgaria's representative to the European Economic and Social Committee in the Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment section. She has also been a guest lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics of Varna’s University of Economics. Georgieva is an ecologist by education.

Ginka Mashova-Stancheva was appointed Deputy Social Minister. She has been working at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy for almost five years, most recently heading the Policy on Disability, Equal Opportunities and Social Assistance Benefits Directorate. Before that she was part worked at the State Agency for Child Protection. From 2003 to 2006 Mashova-Stancheva was a senior expert at the Social Assistance Agency. She is a financier by education.
