“This is a cabinet of Continue the Change, Democratic Bulgaria and GERB. This is a political government. This is not an expert cabinet,” Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov told journalists on Friday, discussing an unofficial version of the cabinet lineup hours before the official list was unveiled. Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria's (CC-DB) prime minister-designate Nikolay Denkov had said that the list of ministers is “intended to contain mainly experts”.

“Each of these so-called experts cannot be a minister if they are not appointed by a particular political party,” Kostadinov argued. “When we talk about experts, does it mean that those people who are in their parties are not experts. And does it mean that Kiril Petkov is not an expert and Assen Vassilev is, because Assen Vassilev enters the cabinet and Kiril Petkov does not,” the Vazrazhdane leader added.

He labelled this cabinet as “traitorous” and said that it “will practically destroy Bulgaria”.
