There Is Such a People (TISP) will neither participate nor support a first-mandate cabinet of GERB-UDF, TISP leader Slavi Trifonov wrote in a Facebook post Sunday night.

He explained that he had pledged his parliamentary group's support for an expect cabinet without party leaders, but his party had not been consulted at all "in substance" about the cabinet line-up, structure, or the cabinet members' expertise, which he sees as an indication that Mariya Gabriel’s cabinet will not be an expert one.

Trifonov hopes that in the remaining two cabinet-forming mandates the parties will put behind them their narrow partisan interests and the interest of Bulgaria will prevail.

TISP's about-face slims further the chances of the Gabriel cabinet being voted through Parliament, as it is now 15 votes short of the required majority of 121 to get elected.
