site.btaPleven Reclaims Landfill in BGN 12 Mln Project

A ceremony in Pleven, North Central Bulgaria, marked the successful completion of a reclamation project of the old landfill for municipal solid waste near the village of Boukovluk. The project, worth more than BGN 12 million, was implemented with funding under the Environment Operational Programme 2014-2020. More than BGN 10 million were provided by the European Regional Development Fund, and BGN 1.8 million in national co-financing. The implementation of the project started in May 2020 and was finished on time, Pleven Deputy Mayor Stefan Milev told BTA.
