On the border with Turkiye, traffic is intense at the border crossing checkpoints Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo on Sunday morning, Border Police said.

The crossing through the checkpoint Malko Tarnovo will be temporarily carried out on one route due to the reconstruction of the checkpoint. 

On the borders with North Macedonia and Serbia, traffic is normal at all border crossing points.

On the border with Greece, due to the increased interest in travelling on the Rudozem - Xanthi route, construction works are being carried out on the road on the Greek side. The Greek authorities have placed signs indicating that the area is a construction site, and no outsiders are allowed to enter the site.

Only cars and vans up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to pass through Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad. 

The border authorities remind that on January 8 the works on the major repair of the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse were resumed, due to which a temporary traffic organization was introduced. Traffic is carried out in one lane with a through traffic regime and is regulated by employees of the contractor.
