A Bulgarian national has been fined nearly EUR 14,000 (TRY 524,960) by the Turkish authorities after trying to illegally export 1.2 tonnes of live mussels from Turkiye, the General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture under Turkiye's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry reported in an X post on Tuesday.
Both the mussels and the vehicle have been seized.
