The Day of the Banat Bulgarians from Timisoara in Romania will be celebrated with a concert in the hall of the Banatul Philharmonic on October 20, the Bulgarian Union of Banat–Romania told BTA.

The event, organized by the Union and the Honourary Consulate of Bulgaria in the Romanian city, will be entitled "VOICE" and will be a symphonic interpretation of Bulgarian music, revised by composer Denis Ardelean, a native of Star Beshenov.

The concert will include a selection of Bulgarian folk songs, which will be performed by the orchestra of the Banatul Philharmonic in Timisoara with conductor Konstantin Ilievski and  soloists Elena Doycheva-Dragomir and Nadia Shehabi.

"With this concert, we want to celebrate the Day of the Banat Bulgarians from Timisoara and present Bulgarian music in a new light," the organizers said.
