A malfunction that occurred as a result of the extreme weather conditions in Romania, at the automatic gamma-background radiation monitoring station in the area of Gighera, Dolj, Romania, led to an alarm signal in the environmental radioactivity monitoring system, the Romanian National Environment Protection Agency told BTA.
