Two milestones in Bulgaria's ties with Albania, the establishment of diplomatic relations 110 years ago and the signing of a Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation 30 years ago, were commemorated by a concert in Sofia, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday. The show was organized by the Albanian Embassy in Sofia as part of a programme of cultural events which are being held in the two countries this year.
Bulgaria's Deputy Foreign Minister Kostadin Kodzhabashev and Albania's Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Megi Fino attended the concert.
Kodzhabashev said in a greetings address that the two countries boast a tradition of good relations between them, based on friendship and strong historical, cultural and educational ties. He called for even deeper dialogue, a closer relationship, and development of sectoral cooperation.
