A statement published on Friday on the MRF Press Centre Facebook page run by the parliamentary group Movement for Rights and Freedoms – Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (MRF–DRF) criticized the Sofia Administrative Court for rejecting a petition by Ahmed Dogan. Dogan, the founder and Honorary Chair of the MRF, submitted an application in August 2024 with the Patent Office for the transfer of the rights to use several trademarks related to MRF to himself alone.

On October 18, 2024, the Patent Office refused to do the transfer.

The statement reads: "We are witnessing yet another blatant manipulation and lie, born in the propaganda machine of [Movement for Rights and Freedoms - New Beginning Leader] Delyan Peevski. The decision of the Administrative Court is nothing more than a procedural rejection of an appeal, not evidence for the collapse of the MRF, as his [Peevski's] yellow-brown media are helpfully propagating."

The statement is adamant that the MRF brand belongs to Dogan, who "built it with vision, wisdom and strategic thinking, unattainable for mediocre political salesmen like Peevski."

Earlier Friday, the Sofia Administrative Court Friday announced rejecting Dogan's petition. The court's decision is not final, as it can be appealed before the Supreme Administrative Court.
