The government has adopted a decision to recognize four employers' organizations as representative at the national level for a period of four years, the government press service reported on Wednesday. The organizations are the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Bulgarian Industrial Association, and the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria.
The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria and the Podkrepa Labour Confederation were recognized as nationally representative organizations of employees for four years.
The government refused to recognize the Union for Private Economic Enterprise and the Bulgarian Employers' Association Innovative Technologies as nationally representative employers' organizations because the two organizations did not meet all the criteria stipulated in the Labour Code.
