The Industrial Production Index went down by 0.7% in October 2024 compared to the previous month, the National Statistical Institute reported on Tuesday. A decrease of 1.6% was registered in the calendar-adjusted Industrial Production Index compared to October 2023.

Monthly changes

A 22.9% decline was seen in the mining and quarrying industry in October 2024 compared to the previous month, a 4.8% in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply. A 1.3% increase was registered in the manufacturing sector.

Annual changes

A 10% decline of the Industrial Production Index was observed in the mining and quarrying industry, and a 0.1% drop was seen in manufacturing. A 7.9% increase was registered in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply.
