The government approved amendments to the Electronic Communications Networks and Physical Infrastructure Act, which aim to ease the procedures for planning and building digital networks. The new texts are aimed at promoting the investment process and ensuring the implementation of the investments set out in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The proposed amendments will create the conditions for the successful implementation of investments in large-scale digital infrastructure in Bulgaria. The bill is essential to achieve the targets in the 2030 Digital Decade and to accelerate the deployment of high-speed broadband infrastructure across the country, particularly in rural and remote areas.
